Description
The engraving features a head and shoulders vignette portrait of President Abraham Lincoln facing partially toward the viewer's right. He wears a black coat and vest with a white collared shirt and black bow tie. The chain from a pocket watch is attached to the second button of the vest, but the rest of the chain and pocket watch itself are tucked behind the left side of the jacket. There is a slight shadow around Lincoln's arms and shoulders. A facsimile of Lincoln's signature sits below the image, with "Engraved for the N.W. Sanitary Fair" below that, and "1865" on a third line. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
