Description

This is original art for the 1937 or 1938 wall calendar for the Lincoln National Bank of Fort Wayne, Indiana. At the top is a large color reproduction of the original painting of President Abraham Lincoln by A. G. Conant pasted onto a sheet with a decorative green and gold frame painted to fit the print. Both are pasted to a much larger sheet which has a light green painted background. Toward the middle of the sheet are darker green cloud outlines. The company name and location are painted black with slightly darker green shadows on the letters. A January 1937 calendar page is pasted centered below the text with an illustration of Lincoln splitting rails to the viewer's left of the calendar page. To the viewer's right is an illustrations of Lincoln in the court room. Both illustrations are painted in shades of green with pencil lines outlining some of the court attendees.
