Description
This lithograph features a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln done from a painting by William Edgar Marshall in 1865. The print was most likely published for the celebration of the centennial anniversary of Lincoln's birth. President Lincoln is shown facing to the viewer's right wearing a black frock coat and bow tie against a textured background of brush strokes. The portrait is cropped to an oval with a tan mat. The title is printed just below the image. The publisher's information is printed in the lower left corner of the margin.
