Description

This Rotogravure features a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln done from a painting by William Edgar Marshall in 1865. This Lincoln Rotogravure Supplement was published with the Sunday, February 7, 1915, issue of the New York Times. The reverse side of the image includes biographical information on the artist as well as testimonials by some who knew Lincoln well as to the accuracy of the painting when compared with the man himself.
