Description
This engraving features the Springfield, Illinois, home of Abraham Lincoln positioned in a front and side view. The house sits raised above the ground with a porch surrounded by a white fence. There are steps that lead up to the porch area from the sidewalk. The backyard of the house is enclosed by a fence, seen off to the right of the image. A tree stands in the grassy area across from the house, and people as well as a dog can be seen walking past on the sidewalks. "From a Photograph" is printed below the image in the bottom left corner, "Published by W.H. Woodworth Utica N.Y." is printed in the center, and "Engraved by Serz" is in the bottom right corner.
