This photographic print features head and shoulders portraits of three United States presidents who were assassinated in office: William McKinley (September 14, 1901), Abraham Lincoln (April 14, 1865), and James A. Garfield (September 19, 1881), respectively. At the viewer's far left, McKinley's oval-shaped portrait shows him in a three-quarter profile turned toward the viewer's right. Lincoln's rectangular-shaped portrait is in the center and shows him in a three-quarter profile looking toward the viewer's right. At the viewer's far right, Garfield's oval-shaped portrait shows him in a three-quarter profile turned toward the viewer's left. The publishing/copyright information is located in the lower left corner of Lincoln's portrait. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
