Description
This oval shaped print features a portrait of President Abraham Lincoln wearing a black suit, bow tie and a white shirt. His body is turned slightly to the left and his head is turned directly at the viewer. He has short brown hair, a beard and blue-gray eyes. One of the most popular prints of Lincoln in the 19th century, this chromolithograph on canvas is based on a photograph of Lincoln taken by Anthony Berger on February 9, 1864 at Matthew Brady's Washington gallery. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
