Description

This woodcut illustration published in the November 26, 1864, issue of Harper's Weekly depicts a very tall, thin President Abraham Lincoln. The caricature is intended to emphasize that President Lincoln won the election of 1864 for his second term as president of the United States. He is depicted standing facing the viewer with his right foot forward and his left foot behind and positioned toward the left.
