Description

This color print features the statue portion of the Lincoln Memorial positioned at a three quarter view, appearing in the sky within the clouds. A small farm house with a white fence is in the bottom left corner, and two red barns and silos are off to the right of the house. A small town is to the right of the barns, with the steeple of a church visible. A dark haze appears above the town, with a gray factory behind the smoke, and a collection of skyscrapers rising above the factory. A red, white, and blue ribbon sits below the image in the center, with "THAT FREEDOM SHALL NOT PERISH FROM THIS EARTH" printed inside of it. Rockwell's signature is written in red ink above the ribbon to the right. Below the image, "The Spirit of Lincoln by Norman Rockwell" is printed in the center, with publication information just below that.
