Description

This narrow, long poster features Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. The title is centered at the top with a George Washington quotation to the viewer's left of the title and a quotation from President Lincoln's Gettysburg Address to the viewer's right of the title. A portrait of President Washington is at the left end of the poster along with an illustration of Washington delivering his Inauguration speech in New York City in 1789. And next to that is a photograph of the Washington Monument in Washington, D. C. In the center of the poster are photographs of the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol Building in Washington, D. C. To the viewer's right of those is a reproduction of Ritchie's engraving of President Lincoln reading the Emancipation Proclamation to the Cabinet. At the right end of the poster is a portrait of President Abraham Lincoln. The publication information is printed in the lower margin.
