Description
This poster is a reproduction of the cover of the February 12, 1938, issue of "The Saturday Evening Post" publication. It features the "bronze Lincoln" by artist J. C. Leyendecker in the center. A quotation from President Abraham Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address is printed on either side of the head of Lincoln: "With malice toward none, with charity for all." Beneath the head and the quotation is a branch with leaves and berries. The head of Lincoln, the quotation, and the branch are all printed in gold tones on a mottled blue-green background. The title "Lincoln" appears below the branch on a white background. The artist's initials are in the viewer's lower right corner of the image.
