Description
This political cartoon printed by Currier & Ives depicts President Abraham Lincoln and CSA President Jefferson Davis engaged in a boxing match surrounded by representatives of foreign countries speculating as to results of the Civil War. Lincoln (and by extension the North) is soundly beating Davis (and by extension the South). At the bottom of the image, under the title is noted "Published by Currier & Ives, 152 Nassau St. N.Y."
