Description
This tinted postcard features the historical monument to Reverend Jesse Head, the minister who performed the marriage of Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks, parents of President Abraham Lincoln on June 12, 1806. A left profile portrait of Reverend Head is inset to the viewer's right of the monument. The image is surrounded by a white border with the caption printed in the lower margin. The copyright statement is printed in the left margin. The postcard reverse is divided with narrative text printed on the left side.
