Description
This postcard features an illustration of Abraham Lincoln raising the flag at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 22, 1861, while on his way to Washington, D. C., to take the oath of office. Lincoln is depicted holding the rope to hoist the flag while a large group of men stand around watching. This is one of a series of twenty postcards with illustrations featuring events which occurred during the life of President Lincoln. The postcard reverse is divided.
