Description
White cotton muslin banner features a two inch black velvet border and seven ribbon ties, measuring ten inches, at the top of the banner. The following is painted in black letters within a black box on the front: "Abraham Lincoln, Revered at home, honored abroad: His Name shall be for aye/ A spell to break Oppression's rod,/ And check foul Treason's sway." On the reverse side, in the same black painted lettering is: "Caledonia Div. S. of T. No. 90 Boston. Instituted March 11th. 1859". There are pencil marks on each side where the lettering is located.
